“Who got you pregnant?” Iruoma asked her housemaid, Julie.
Julie pointed at Iruoma’s husband, Jeffery. “Oga got me pregnant,” she said.
Iruoma froze. She looked at her husband, then back at the maid. “Which oga? My husband?”
“Yes, madam. Oga got me pregnant,” Julie repeated.
“Stop saying that! Babe, tell me she’s lying,” Iruoma said, turning to Jeffery.
“I can explain, babe,” Jeffery replied.
“You can explain? You actually got our housemaid pregnant?” Iruoma shouted in disbelief. “I didn’t see this coming!”
“Calm down,” Jeffery said.
“Calm down? And you—after everything—you went after my housemaid?” Iruoma tried to slap Julie, but Jeffery stopped her.
“So you’re protecting her now? Pack your things and leave my house!” Iruoma yelled.
“Julie, go to your room. I’ll call you later,” Jeffery said.
“Pack your bags and leave!” Iruoma screamed as Julie walked away.
“What have you done?” she turned to Jeffery.
“What have I done? Is that the question you should be asking?” he replied.
“You got her pregnant and you want praise?”
“You caused this,” Jeffery said.
“I caused it? So now you’re blaming me?” Iruoma fired back. “You didn’t even use protection!”
“You’ve been starving me of sex for four months,” Jeffery said.
“So I should become someone I’m not?” Iruoma snapped.
“You’re always with your colleague. Don’t act innocent,” he replied.
“So you think I’m cheating?”
“I know you are,” Jeffery said.
“For your information, it’s only work!”
“You asked me to handle 30% of responsibilities. Since then everything changed,” Jeffery said.
“So that’s your excuse?” Iruoma shouted. “By the time I return, I don’t want her here!”
She stormed out, drove off angrily…
And on the road, she had a fatal car accident.
